What this template is
Document stores identity metadata—type, number, issuer, expiry date—plus field-bound front and back photo slots (not a generic attachment bag). ID numbers stay masked until copy.
When to use it (and when not to)
Good fits
- Passport or national ID before travel
- Driver license with renewal tracking
- KYC forms needing number + scan in one item
Use something else instead
Everyday workflows
Travel prep
- Enable pack; create Document item with expiry and renewal notes.
- Upload Photo (front) and Photo (back) in the item form.
- Copy document number for airline or visa forms.
Renewal
- Edit metadata when you renew; replace photo fields with new scans.

What you need
Steps
Enable the pack
- Unlock your vault and open Settings → General → Category templates (
https://se.nt2.me/settings/general/templates).
- Toggle Document On.
Create a document item
- Open
https://se.nt2.me/assets and select Add asset → Document.
- Enter a title (e.g. “Passport — 2031 expiry”).
- Fill document type, ID number, issuing authority, expiry date, and other structured fields.
- Save before or after adding photos in the same session.
Add front and back photos
- With the item open in edit or detail view, use Photo (front) and Photo (back) field slots in the form.
- Upload a PDF or image (JPEG, PNG, WebP, GIF) up to 10 MB per field-bound attachment rules.
- Preview each slot to confirm readability—photos are bound to semantic fields, not the generic attachment list.
Copy ID numbers
- Use Copy on number or expiry fields when filling travel or KYC forms.
- Paste within 30 seconds—clipboard auto-clears after that.
Renew or replace
- Edit fields when you renew a passport or ID.
- Replace Photo (front) / Photo (back) after uploading new scans.
- Archive expired documents you want to keep for records but hide from daily filters.
Tips and common mistakes
- Metadata + field-bound photos—structured fields make items findable; front/back slots hold the visual record.
- 10 MB limit—compress high-resolution phone photos if uploads fail.
- Safe display—use Safe presentation mode when showing IDs on screen near others.
- Enable pack first—Document is optional; Credential alone lacks document-specific fields and photo slots.
